~~~ "There is some wisdom in poetry"[Saheeh Bukhari]~~~
Dawn at Masjid
Right before the dawn
Listening to the beautiful words of Adhaan,
Truly brings peace to my heart
From the ever so, Ar-Rahman.
I pick up the gushing water
To perform wudu,
I cleanse myself to see
If I be able to stand before Thee.
I enter upon the Masjid
House of Al-Wudood,
I head towards the very last row,
I perform my prayer and I bow.
Thinking of, what have I done?
To deserve the very best.
That the Masjid is where I start my day
And being able to stand infront of the Almighty, to pray .
As it says in Hadiths
How can I expect more than this?
That-if I pray five times a day,
Will wash all my sins away.
With the love, hope and fear in my heart
Upon leaving the Masjid, I make dua
"O Allah, I ask you for your favour,
O Allah, guard me from the accused devil "
And may Allah blesses, the mind and soul of mine
That I get to come back here, anytime and everytime !
Patience, Perseverance and Prayer
People with two faces,
Can only go too far
Their words might mesmerize you,
But can only last for too long
Because it’s obvious in their actions
What is in the spoken words
Is not in the heart
And what is in the heart
Is nothing but filthy dirt
Which can take anything and everything apart
History said hundreds of years ago,
At the time of the prophet (pbuh)
Such people known to be Khawarij
Whose words were amazing
But actions showed nothing of what they spoke
Their act was different, when out in the open
Than when they were under a cloak.
You can only be amazed
Or be surprised
Might be even dazzled
Sometime
But truly how long
People can deceive
Only for too long?
But either before the last hour
Or after the last hour
It's a promise from the Almighty
That your day will come surely
And you will shine ever so brightly.
So, to those
Hold on to your heart
Sometimes to your tongue
Increase your patience
With the increase of oppression
Cause as He said;
"Seek Allah's help with patience, perseverance and prayer."
Indeed that day will come before you shed your last tear!
Shameful Slave
How truly lucky you are my friend,
To feel so close to the Al-Mighty
As you humbly lower yourself five times a day,
Fully indulging in a powerful conversation that no words could describe.
How truly lucky you are my friend!
They say Shaytaan has mastered his traps,
But as naive and high spirited I used to be
I said “nah! there is no way it could be me”
So I eat from the tempting fruits of this world,
Played with fire despite Allah’s warning.
But look at me now
Tick Tock, Tick Tock
The clock strikes 9
Another prayer I missed again
And did not even felt an ounce of sadness.
This is what happens to such a slave
When Allah’s blessings no longer shines.
I blame nobody
But my careless actions.
For a long time I turned to people for comfort
The short laughers and giggles psychological oppressed me more
As hypocritical I seem
I, too, humbly lower myself in the presence of Allah
In hopes that inshaAllah one day I will gain Allah’s blessings again.
So how truly lucky you are my friend.
Cherish such a blessing
Protect it with all your might
‘Cause truly hearts find peace in prayer.
You are so very lucky my friend.
Signing off,
A shameful slave.
